Omya Turkey has begun distributing SICIT Group's high-performance, bio-based additives for plaster and plasterboard applications, effective January 2026. The agreement builds on a long-standing global partnership between the two companies and brings SICIT's internationally recognized portfolio closer to Turkish manufacturers through Omya's established local presence and technical expertise.
Turkey's construction sector is one of the fastest-growing in the region, with rising demand for high-performance, resource-efficient gypsum-based materials. This new arrangement is designed to meet that demand by combining SICIT's specialized additive technologies with Omya's deep market knowledge and application support capabilities.
Under the agreement, Omya Turkey will distribute SICIT's full range of protein hydrolysate-based additives valued across international markets for their ability to improve fluidity, control setting times, enhance mechanical performance, and increase application efficiency in gypsum-based systems.
“This expansion of our partnership with SICIT reflects our shared commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for the construction industry. By combining SICIT’s advanced additive technologies with Omya’s strong market presence and technical expertise, we will create measurable value for manufacturers across the region,” said David Grassini, Global Key Principal Director, Omya.
“Our enhanced partnership with Omya reinforces SICIT’s growth trajectory in high-value construction applications and expands our footprint in a dynamic, strategically important market. Our technologies are designed not only to enhance processing efficiency, but to support the construction sector’s transition toward more resource-efficient production models” said Massimo Neresini, CEO of SICIT Group.
