SICIT's production process consists of three distinct stages:

01

Acquisition of
tanning residues

This initial step sees SICIT involved in procuring raw materials from tanneries, with a priority focus on the Vicenza district, without excluding other important Italian and European companies. The service offered to tanneries is twofold: it represents a cost-effective alternative to traditional disposal and an eco-sustainable choice.

The synergy with the tanning sector is underlined by the consolidated relationship with Vicenza tanneries, supported by the meticulous monitoring of the quality and quantity of raw materials, carried out by Quality Control and the management team, guaranteeing a flexible supply adapted to SICIT's production needs.

02

Treatment and
hydrolysis

At the Arzignano and Chiampo plants, raw materials undergo a hydrolysis process, a heat treatment under controlled conditions to obtain amino acids and peptides from collagen. This crucial step transforms the raw materials into semi-finished products that will be the basis for the subsequent formulation of finished products.

SICIT also has storage facilities for hydrolysates, ensuring there is a strategic reserve to balance fluctuations between supply and demand.

03

Formulation of
finished products

Hydrolysis results in a liquid, viscous product ready to be formed into specific formulations, often customised according to customer requirements. This process creates a versatile product that can subsequently be marketed in various forms: liquid, powder, flakes or granules.

At every stage, the focus on sustainability and compliance with quality standards is evident, with processes optimised to ensure production efficiency and customer satisfaction, while always being mindful of environmental impact.
